50 a year The classroom teacher will establish a safe, healthy, learning environment that provides a variety of developmentally appropriate experiences that foster the social, emotional, physical and cognitive development of young children by following the Agency Plans, HighScope Pre-K Curriculum, the Agency Plans for Education and Disabilities, the Head Start Performance Standards, the NAEYC guidelines and the Office of Children and Family Services Day Care Regulations.
Bachelor Degree in Early Childhood Education preferred Bachelor Degree in Education with ECE concentration Bachelor Degree in unrelated area with at least 18 credits in ECE and early childhood experience NYS Provisional or Permanent Teacher Certification or NYS Initial Certificate B-2 (Required for UPK classes) Valid NYS Initial, Provisional, Professional or Permanent Certificate in Special Education, Pre-K-6 Special Education, or Certificate B-2 Children with Special Needs Good writing and communication skills Computer skills a plus Valid NYS Driver's License may be required for position Excellent Benefits and follow school district calendar.
